Erling Haaland has received four Guinness World Records certificates. Manchester City confirmed the recognition today, which covers his goalscoring achievements in the Premier League, Champions League, and Nations League.
The 26-year-old received the certificates ahead of City’s new campaign after an impressive performance for Norway at the 2026 World Cup.
What Guinness World Records Has Erling Haaland Set?
The first record recognises Haaland as the fastest player in Premier League history to reach 100 league goals, a milestone he achieved in 111 appearances. Alan Shearer, the competition's all-time leading scorer, needed considerably longer to reach the same milestone.
The second record covers a single Premier League season. Haaland scored 36 goals in 38 games during his debut 2022-23 campaign at City, the highest total ever recorded in a 38-game Premier League season.
His third record comes on the international stage. Haaland is now the UEFA Nations League’s all-time leading scorer, having scored 19 goals for Norway between 2020 and 2024.
The fourth certificate recognises the Norwegian for equalling the Champions League record for most goals in a single match after scoring five against RB Leipzig in March 2023.
The certificates were presented to Haaland at the Etihad Stadium this week as Manchester City stepped up preparations for the new season.
