Florentino Perez has been re-elected as Real Madrid's president until 2030 as he gained 65 per cent of the vote to remain in office.
The Spaniard announced the election during a press conference after a disagreement with journalists based on Madrid's trophyless season, especially being challenged by Enrique Riquelme for the role.
Since 2009, the 79-year-old has been the club's president and hopes that Los Blancos will continue to earn title triumphs in domestic and european competitions.
But, for Real Madrid, three changes are expected to take place, potentially before the World Cup begins, with Perez still being in charge.
Jose Mourinho appointed as the new manager
Perez welcomes Jose Mourinho back to Real Madrid for the first time since 2013, when the Portuguese manager had a three-year stint with the club.
In that time, 'The Special One' won one La Liga title, one Copa del Rey and a single Spanish Super Cup.
The 63-year-old departs from Portugal where he guided Benfica to third place in the Primeira Liga and hasn't claimed any silverware since 2022, when he led Roma to win the UEFA Conference League.
It was clear that Perez wanted to bring back Mourinho prior to his election, able to fix the mess that Xabi Alonso and Alvaro Arbeloa could not handle.
It is believed one of the reasons why Mourinho has returned is because of his people management skills, able to deal with a dressing room packed with big egos.
The idea is he will be taking the right step forward with his players, making sure there is no confrontation between one and another after Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde's incident towards the end of the season.
Two confirmed signings and one contract extension
With Mourinho set to be the new manager, he will be aiming to reconstruct his defence as he takes charge of the club's transfer policy.
It is believed that Denzel Dumfries will sign from Inter as a €20 million release clause will be triggered for the Dutchman to join the Spanish side.
Also, free agent Ibrahima Konate will be joining Los Blancos after failing to agree terms with a new contract at Liverpool.
Both defenders will be focusing on making a contribution to their nations in the World Cup before entering a new stage of their careers.
Current Real Madrid star Antonio Rudiger has agreed to a contract renewal, keeping some familiarity within the defence.
The Germany international has won multiple trophies Madrid ever since he joined in 2022.
Perez Hints At A Record-Breaking Galactico Move
Perez teased the world when he announced his plans to sign a new Galactico talent with so many fans trying to figure out the mystery man.
The Real Madrid president said: "On Tuesday, I'm going to make a significant offer to a Champions League club for a top player.
"It would be the largest transfer fee Real Madrid has ever paid. It would be around €150 million."
Some people speculated it would be Erling Haaland, but Perez stated that the player is not from the Premier League.
The club president also declared it would not be Michael Olise, however, recognised journalist Fabrizio Romano believes Perez is trying to misdirect people.
It's likely that Madrid will place a bid before the World Cup begins as Olise focuses on his international duties for France, offering €150 million or perhaps more as Bayern Munich are not looking to sell the winger.
