2002 World Cup winner

Gilberto Silva

Defensive midfielder · 1997-2013

World Cup winner with Brazil in 2002 and an Arsenal Invincible the season after. Built a career on positional discipline and reading the game two passes ahead, in a generation that did not always reward those qualities at first sight. Now coaches and works with young midfielders. His Striver sessions sit closest to the part of the game most younger players overlook.
