A sensational performance from Zaynqf helped fire Team Gilberto to an 11-5 win over Team Lindley at Worthing FC's Sussex Transport Community Stadium last Saturday (October 3rd).
Striver's yearly charity match lived up to its billing and content creators showcased that they're not just talented with a phone in hand but also with a ball at their feet. That's exactly what Zayn did for his team, putting in a five-star showing which led to him taking the match ball home.
Zaynqf Named Striver's StriveAid 2026 Player of the Match
Zayn has been named Striver's Player of the Match for StriveAid 2026 and deservedly so. He came up with five goals for Team Gilberto, including Goal of the Game when he chipped Jason Davenport.
Each of his five goals were impressive but his overall performance earned huge plaudits. Whether it was linking up with BigJohnGK or using his clever movement to trouble Team Lindley's defence, he ran the show.
Zayn also became StriveAid's top goalscorer, now sitting on eight goals in just three appearances. He's proving to be a real handful for opposition defences and a fan favourite.
Zayn Explains His Five Goals
Zayn treated his TikTok followers to all five of his goals and explained how each one of them came to fruition. He said:
"For goal number one, I get the ball in my own half and it's a two-on-two counter attack. I skip past the defender, and it's a tidy finish into the bottom corner. Then, not long later, after a mistake from the defender, I managed to pounce on it to get my second goal of the game."
Zayn added:
"Now we're moving to the second half, and after a great pass from Big John, I get on the end of it, and that's my hat trick goal. But we weren't done there, cause only a few minutes later the ball comes to me again. I take a touch, and I score my first goal on my left foot. And then in the last few minutes, the other team went all out attack, leaving me with a one-on-one and I scored this beautiful chip to make it five goals."
Zayn's brilliance played a crucial role in helping Team Gilberto pick up the victory. He was one of many players who will surely have earned a tap on the back from the Arsenal legend.
