Newcastle United have finalized an agreement to sign England U-17 international Kyran Thompson from Arsenal this summer.
The Magpies have snapped up the highly-rated winger on a free transfer after he turned down an opportunity to extend his contract with the Gunners.
Thompson attracted interest from several top sides in the Premier League as soon as it became apparent that he did not intend to continue his spell with the Gunners beyond this summer.
The 16-year-old will sign an initial scholarship deal before he is eligible for a professional contract once he turns 17 in September.

Newcastle United capitalized on Thompson's decision to not sign a new contract at Arsenal despite playing a starring role for their U-18s in the 2025-26 season.
