Chelsea have agreed a deal to sell Andrey Santos to Manchester United.

The figure agreed between clubs is £48m + £2m in easy add ons. Chelsea will also hold a 10% future sell on clause. Chelsea and Manchester United hold a good relationship at board level, making the negotiations smooth.

Sources have told Striver.Football that the move was the desire of Santos, who saw an opportunity to start more often at Manchester United.

Chelsea rate Santos as a player and person but the move is deemed to be suitable for all parties. He asked Chelsea to leave.

The Blues are expected to invest across the defence, midfield and attack in the remainder of the window.

Sources close to Manchester United meanwhile are said to be 'delighted' with the price of Santos.

In comparison with the ceiling of Santos, the Red Devils believe they have got a very good deal, and are happy internally.
