Arsenal fans have reacted to Eberechi Eze's performance in their 3-0 win over LOSC Lille in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.

Mikel Arteta's men cruised to victory although they had to wait until the second half to get the ball rolling. Jurrien Timber opened the scoring in the 64th minute before Eze added a second three minutes later.

Bukayo Saka put the icing on the cake in the 71st minute with a fine finish as the Gunners made it two wins out of two at the start of their Champions League campaign. Arteta opted to start Eze who has come in and out of his team since the start of the season.

Eze Impresses in Arsenal Win Over Lille

Eze has encountered a somewhat challenging spell at the Emirates since arriving from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2025. He has yet to truly win Arteta over, failing to nail down a starting berth in the team.

Tonight, he started for just the third time this season and did so on the left wing. He caught the eye with an impressive display, taking his goal well and linking up well with Saka.

Eze's versatility is a real asset for Arteta as he can play in attacking midfield as well as out wide. Christos Tzolis' arrival in the summer seemed to rule out a run on the left but with performances like tonight he may well be back starting games consistently.

The 28-year-old tried his luck with five shots, three of which were on target. He also successfully completed four dribble attempts and made one key pass at the Emirates.

Arsenal Fans Hail 'World Class' Eze

Eze's display didn't go unnoticed by fans who made sure to give him his flowers on social media. One fan on X was delighted to see the English attacker find the net: "Absolutely love it when Eze scores.. serious player man."

Another supporter believes he's on par with Manchester City's Jeremy Doku: "If doku is world class then eze is world class also"

One fan felt it was an encouraging outing: "Most importantly Eze looks impressive and tried to impose himself on the game just a player you keep on the pitch and is in need of mins"

Another is certain that the former Palace man should be Arteta's starting left-winger: "It looks Like Eze at LW is the best option for Arsenal"

One pointed out his connection with his fellow compatriot: "Saka really just opened up the game which just shows how class he is unlocked Eze a lot more too which was good to see"

Eze fulfilled his dream by moving to Arsenal last year but knew that the main man role he played at Palace wouldn't be on offer. He needs to make the most of his opportunities in a star-studded Gunners team and that's exactly what he did tonight.
