Chelsea's new signing has lived up to the expectations in his three appearances for the club. The former Aston Villa creative midfielder made a shock move to the capital but chose blue over red earlier in this transfer window.
In his opening two Premier League games for Chelsea, Rogers has one goal, one assist, and has created the most chances out of anyone in England's top flight, per WhoScored. The top five currently consist of Manchester United duo Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes, Manchester City's Rayan Cherki, and Sunderland's Granit Xhaka.
Premier League Champions regretting their choices
After Arsenal failed to put up the financial backing, Chelsea swooped in and spent big to back new manager Xabi Alonso. JP Morgan, as they are now known, have had a red-hot start to the season with Rogers, Pedro, and Palmer having a combined nine goal contributions after just two Premier League games. A staggering start to the season, which has seen Chelsea score seven goals and sit fourth in the league.
In contrast, Arsenal have now scored three goals, all assisted by defenders. Calafiori has assisted two goals, while Ben White assisted the other Gunners' goal. Despite the defending champions scoring five goals in their opening two games, 40% of their goals have been scored without an assist.

With Rogers revealing that new Blues boss Xabi Alonso played a “massive” role in convincing him to make the move to Stamford Bridge, the slight dig at Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta won't be taken kindly by the Premier League-winning manager in the week's build-up to their box-office clash.
Capital Clash Centered around Rogers
Arsenal host Chelsea this coming Sunday at 16:30pm in a London derby with Morgan Rogers at the center of the conversation. The former Middlesbrough player will face off against the team that came so close to signing him with the expectation to prove them wrong. Against a weakened Arsenal backline and red-hot form that Rogers and Chelsea have started in, a goal at the Emirates for Rogers is certainly on the cards. As the blues from West London travel in their thousands, Rogers will have the support of the south-east corner of the Clock End.
However, in Rogers' 441 minutes against Arsenal in the Premier League, the 24-year-old has never scored or assisted, despite beating them twice in the five games against the current Premier League champions. Teammate Cole Palmer has only scored once against the Gunners for the Blues in his three matches against his rivals. Despite scoring from the spot in 2023, Arsenal came back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Stamford Bridge.
