Chelsea Football Club have tonight announced the signing of Morgan Rogers for a record breaking British fee of £117 million.
Rogers, 23, will link up with his best friend Cole Palmer to form what could be a formidable attack for years to come.
The Englishman quickly agreed personal terms following a phone call with Xabi Alonso, with Chelsea’s good relationship with Aston Villa helping secure a deal fast, fending off competition from Arsenal FC.
Chelsea are not done here in the window however, with discussions ongoing around midfielder targets, and also a potential deal for John Stones.
Rogers has signed a 6+1 year deal at Chelsea.
