Chelsea have announced the extension of striker Joao Pedro until 2034.

The Blues have been working hard on trying to reward players who have been performing consistently for the club.

Joao Pedro is the latest to join the crew of extended stars, which includes the likes of Cole Palmer, Reece James and Moises Caicedo.

After signing his new deal, Joao said: “I am very happy to sign a new contract with Chelsea. I always dreamed of playing for a big club and it means a lot to me to give my long term commitment to this club. Chelsea has a long tradition of winning and it has big ambitions for the future.

“I have felt at home in London from the moment I joined. Everyone is very excited for this season. We know we can achieve a lot, we have a great team, we have a coach who wants to win and has won already. I am fully committed.”

It is understood that Chelsea would also like to reward Estevao Willian and Levi Colwill with new, improved deals in the coming months.

They have also been impressed with Jorrel Hato, while Malo Gusto would like improved terms, too.

Despite efforts spanning of several months, Chelsea have not yet been able to find an agreement with Enzo Fernandez, who asked for a pay rise and extension.
