Chelsea winger Pedro Neto has agreed a new contract until 2032.
Neto is the latest to be rewarded with a pay rise and contract extension after showing loyalty to the Blues during the summer transfer window, where he was linked with Manchester City and Spurs.
Chelsea were never actively looking sell Neto either, and placed a £100m price tag on him.
The Portugese wingers has started relatively well this season under Xabi Alonso, with goals against Brighton and Leeds.
He was however involved in an incident with Reece James at Fulham where he seemingly ‘shushed’ the Chelsea captain after being shouted at for not tracking back when the Blues were trying to defend their 3-2 lead.
Still, Alonso seems to trust Neto overall, especially as a wingback in the 3-4-2-1 formation. He has started or come off the bench in each of the five games so far.
Besides Neto, there could also be more extensions to come soon. Levi Colwill and Estevao Willian are in line to be rewarded, while Malo Gusto has been seeking an increase in pay for over a year.
Sources have told Striver.Football that Jorrel Hato is someone who could also feature on the to do list for Chelsea’s hierarchy, who have been impressed with the Dutch internationals maturity and progression.
