The race to land the best young players in world football continues alongside the battle to sign established stars.

Arsenal have agreed yet another deal, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that the Gunners have terms in place to sign Georgian winger Andria Bartishvili.

The Premier League side will pay €4.5 million for the 17-year-old, who has been dubbed as the "Next Kvaratskhelia" in his home country.

Bartishvili will join the Gunners officially in the summer of 2027, after he turns 18 years old.

How Arsenal Beat Liverpool and Juventus to Andria Bartishvili

Arsenal were among a number of sides, including Liverpool and Juventus, to have kept close tabs on attacking midfielder Andria Bartishvili as he continues to dazzle for Iberia 1999.

The youngster was recommended by Maurizio Micheli, who holds a senior recruitment role at Arsenal.

Micheli was instrumental in bringing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to Napoli and reportedly sees similar potential in Bartishvili.

The Gunners sent a pre-contract offer earlier this month for the youngster, and he has now agreed to the terms of their offer.

He is expected to undergo a medical in London next week before completing the formalities of the move that will see him move to the club next summer.

Who Is Andria Bartishvili? The Georgian Wonderkid Dubbed the ‘Next Kvaratskhelia’

Bartishvili began his journey to professional football at Georgian capital club Dinamo Tbilisi, where he remained until the end of 2024.

He moved to Kolkheti 1913 ahead of the 2025 season, and played for the club in the Georgian top-flight at 16 years and two days old, becoming the youngest player in the league for that season.

He was named as the best U-17 player in the league and awarded a medal for his performance in his first senior campaign.

Kolkheti's relegation to the second division led to Bartishvili joining Iberia 1999 on loan in January, allowing him to continue playing in the top flight.

Bartishvili has appeared 19 times for the club in domestic competition, scoring two goals, both in the league.

He played five times for Iberia 1999 in their UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League qualifiers, but the side failed to make it into either competition.

Bartishvili made his Georgia U-21 debut earlier this year, despite being only 17, nine months after he was dubbed as the "Next Kvaratskhelia" for his showing in an U-17 game for Georgia.

Bartishvili is a right-footed player with impressive ball manipulation and the ability to weave between defenders in search of the slightest opening.

His dribbling ability and attacking role have led to comparisons with Paris Saint-Germain star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

What Young Players Can Learn From Andria Bartishvili’s Rapid Rise

Young players should understand the value of gaining competitive senior minutes as early as their development allows.

Bartishvili gained significant experience from playing in the top-flight against older, stronger opposition, enabling him to stand out for his technical quality and skill.

Also, young players must leverage international tournaments to attract the attention of scouts, especially players from smaller countries.

When deciding on a major move, young players must carefully weigh up the options before them to find out the best choice for their development and career progression.

Finally, young players must try to work hand-in-hand with their clubs to develop the best plan for their development and avoid stagnation.

Bartishvili and Kolkheti agreed that he would be best served playing top-flight football, and the club allowed him to leave on loan to keep playing against the best in the country.

The move paid off by giving Bartishvili more exposure to scouts and top-flight football, ultimately helping put him on Arsenal's radar.
