FA Cup holders Crystal Palace host London rivals Tottenham Hotspur as both sides look to avoid three consecutive losses.
Crystal Palace have been been in poor form as late. Last time in the Premier League the Eagles lost 4-1 to newly promoted Leeds United. Their one goal coming from a penalty in the closing minutes of the match.
Prior to this, Palace were beaten at home by eight time Premier League winners Manchester City. The Citizens put three goals in at Selhurst Park, two coming from Erling Haaland.
The Eagles most recent game was in the Carabao Cup against Arsenal. Unfortunately for Glasner's side, the game was lost on Penalties. Maxene Lacroix who had scored an own goal earlier in the game missed the decisive penalty knocking them out the cup.
Spurs play back to back English title holders as they went against Premier League Champions Liverpool last time out. Tottenham were beaten 2-1 by the Merseyside club but worse still, key player Xavi Simons and Christian Romero were sent off making them unavailable against Palace.
Before this it was a visit to the Midlands for Thomas Frank's men, where they lost 3-0 at the City Ground against Nottingham Forest.
These results make it more losses than wins for Thomas Frank at Spurs in the League with pressure mounting on the new manager. A win against Palace is vital to Tottenham as they sit fourteenth. Only having four points more than seventeenth Forest.
The Eagles have got the better of Spurs in their last two fixtures, both in the Premier League. Last time out now Arsenal man Eberechi Eze scored a brace at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Palace were able to keep a clean sheet against Tottenham in both of their last two games, Mateta scoring the only goal in the game at Selhurst Park last season.
The last Tottenham win was a 3-1 victory in March of 2024, Eze scoring the only goal for Palace in that game. Timo Werner and Heung-Min Son who have now left the club scored in that game. Romero scored in that game but he is also not available due to suspension.
Palace will need a win to ensure that they remain the race for European Football next season. Tottenham on the other hand will be aiming for a win just to start turning what has been a poor season. Just at the stroke of the halfway point.
