Matheus Cunha salvaged a point for Man United as the Red Devils settled for a point against Fulham, with the game ending 1-1 at Craven Cottage on Sunday to ease the pressure on Michael Carrick heading into the international break.
Lisandro Martinez netted an unfortunate own goal in the first half, but Mateus Cunha leveled the score late on to spare a point for the Mancunians to end a run of two consecutive games with a loss.

Fulham
GK- Bernd Leno-9
Arguably the man of the match as his goal was tested a few times thanks to shots by Matheus Cunha and Bruno Fernandes in the first half that rattled his post. Also made a stellar save to deny a curled shot by Bryan Mbeumo in the second half. Unfortunate to have conceded a goal in the dying minutes.
RB- Timothy Castagne -6
Dealt well with the threat of Marcus Rashford on the left wing although he got himself booked for obstructing him when he found space to break into at some point.
CB- David Affengruber -6
Looked calm and composed on his home debut and looked assured throughout the game alongside Calvin Bassey, although he made an unfortunate deflection for United’s equaliser.
CB- Calvin Bassey-8
Rock solid keeping Matheus Cunha quiet all afternoon alongside Affengruber and it was his driving run into the danger zone before shooting the ball at United keeper Senne Lammens that led to their goal.
LB- Antonee Robinson -6
Provided width moving forward and did well to deal with the threat of Bryan Mbeumo on the right flank.
CM - Sander Berge - 7
Kept things neat, tidy and simple for Fulham in the middle of the park which was important to their win in the end.
CM - Shea Charles -7
Displayed a mature performance in the middle of the park next to Sander Berge to keep his good run of form going since his move from Southampton.
RW - Oscar Bobb - 6
Stretched United’s left wing and made it hard for Luke Shaw to bomb forward.
AM - Josh King - 7
Was lively in the first half making some progressive carries and getting into great goalscoring positions, but went a bit quiet in the second half.
LW - Alex Iwobi -7
Iwobi helped overload Fulham’s attack drifting inside into midfield off the left, and also did his defensive work when needed which was instrumental to their win.
CF- Gonzalo Garcia -6
Worked hard trying to win the ball back when the opportunity arose and pressed well from the front, but did not get much service to work with.
Fulham Subs

Man United
GK- Senne Lammens-4
Made some good saves, but a costly error that led to an unfortunate own goal by Lisandro Martinez when he parried a shot by Calvin Bassey onto the path of the Argentinian.
RB- Diogo Dalot -5
Did not really have a particularly outstanding game either defensively or offensively, and had an ordinary game.
CB- Harry Maguire -5
Did well containing Gonzalo Garcia but his efforts were not enough to prevent defeat.
CB- Lisandro Martinez -5
Was unfortunate to score an own goal, but was otherwise fine especially with his ball playing from the back.
LB- Luke Shaw -5
Struggled to impact the game in attack, but did okay shutting down Oscar Bobb before the Norwegian was subbed off for Kevin in the second half.
CM- Kobbie Mainoo -6
Probably the better of both Man United midfielders trying to keep things ticking.
CM- Youri Tielemans-5
Kept things ticking alongside Mainoo, but did not have a spectacular game in the middle of the park.
AM- Bruno Fernandes -5
Made a rattling shot that hit the post in the first half but struggled to get the team going otherwise.
LW- Marcus Rashford - 4
Was read like a book by Timothy Castagne and should have done better with the few opportunities he got.
RW- Brian Mbeumo-5
Made some good shots and even forced Leno into a great save shortly after United had gone a goal down.
CF- Mateus Cunha -6
Found it hard to get going and never influenced the game in attack in the first half, but did get a goal in the dying minutes of the game as he looked more lively in the second.
Man United Subs
Mason Mount- N/A
Joshua Zirkzee - N/A
Patrick Dorgu - 6
Provided the assist for Cunha’s equaliser, but otherwise did not do much having come on in the 84th minute.
