You can describe Zlatan Ibrahimovic in many words but humble or unambitious wouldn't be any of them.

After enjoying his time as an analyst on the Fox Sports desk, Zlatan has seen the TV world as already conquered and now wants to give being president a go.

Zlatan Takes Centre Stage On FOX Sports

In a segment that quickly went viral on social media, Ibrahimovic swapped seats with regular anchor Rebecca Lowe.

"It's all gone horribly wrong, Zlatan has decided to play host," Lowe joked as she sat back and watched.

"Playing host? I am the host," Ibrahimovic replied to no surprise.

"First I was employee of the month after one week. After two weeks, I am the host. So now it's my show."

Like a seasoned pro, the Swedish icon then introduced his analysts to the conversation before wrapping up the segment. Zlatan proclaimed: "After one month, I'm going to be the president of America."

His charisma and honesty was always going to be a hit with the silverscreen. Not being afraid of giving the cold hard truth about player performances, the former LA Galaxy star is the perfect blend with Thierry Henry and Alexi Lalas.

Why Zlatan's 'President' Joke Isn't New

For fans of MLS, this isn't the first time Zlatan has eyed the Oval Office. Back in 2018, while he was tearing up American defenses with the LA Galaxy, he made a very similar claim.

When asked how much he had changed American football culture, Zlatan responded: "I don't know if I changed it, I just keep doing my job. They're lucky I didn't come 10 years ago, because I would be the president today."

Zlatan Believes The USMNT Can Go Further

While he might not be fully serious about taking Donald Trump's job, Ibrahimovic is deadly serious when it comes to the United States Men's National Team.

Despite the US dropping their final group game 3-2 against Turkey, Mauricio Pochettino's side had already booked their place in the Round of 32 to face Bosnia and Herzegovina. Following their previous win against Australia, Zlatan delivered a massive rallying cry to the host nation.

"If you didn’t believe before, I will repeat: Start believing. They have the country behind them, and when you have this support, it’s difficult to beat you. And that is what they need. They just need to continue, bring confidence from game to game."

A shock from a host nation has happened before on the European stage with Greece in 2004 and Denmark in 1992.

If the USMNT can get past Bosnia and make a deep run into the knockout stages, Zlatan might just get those presidential votes after all. For the Yankee faithful, any progress in the knockouts should be taken as a win and hope for whats to come from this young team.
