Dr Karli Richards

Dr. Karli Richards is a board-certified sports medicine physician, surgeon and internationally recognised researcher specialising in athlete health, injury prevention and performance. With more than 18 years of clinical and research experience, she is a leading authority on women's health in football, focusing on the relationship between biomechanics, footwear, playing surfaces and injury risk. A Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, Dr. Richards serves as a medical advisor for U.S. Soccer's Recognize to Recover programme and works alongside leading organisations to advance athlete welfare. Her research has been presented at major international forums, including FIFA's Isokinetic Conference, and she received the Best Research Award at the International German Foot and Ankle Orthopedic Conference in 2025.
