Arsenal hero Sol Campbell has told Striver who he thinks will win the Premier League title with Manchester City currently sat top and his former club second.

Just five weeks into the 2026-27 Premier League season, the top end of the standings is beginning to take shape, giving an idea of who will compete for silverware in the league.

The reigning champions began the season with seven successive wins and were on the hunt for a record eighth win in as many games when they were sent crashing to earth last month by Brighton & Hove Albion.

Theirs remains arguably the strongest squad in the division, with every one of their rivals having undergone significant changes this summer.

Sol Campbell Tips Arsenal for League Triumph

Former Arsenal defender Campbell spoke after participating in the 2026 edition of StriveAid at the Sussex Transport Community Stadium, home of Worthing FC. When asked who would win the Premier League title, he responded:

"Arsenal man. Well City can't."

This prediction comes with Mikel Arteta's side currently trailing the Cityzens by three points in the league standings, as City are yet to drop a single point this season.

Campbell made the confident claim, agreeing that City do not stand a chance of winning the title this term, despite their fine start.

Enzo Maresca and his players will have to deal with the outcome of a guilty verdict issued by the Premier League against the club for breaches of financial regulations, and an air of uncertainty will exist around the club.

Without older heads like Rodri, John Stones, and Bernardo Silva, City's young squad will likely struggle to cope with the pressure before their sanctions are even announced.

Champions four seasons in a row before they were dethroned by Liverpool in the 2024-25 season, City are Arsenal's most significant competition. Their dropping out of the title race for any reason will likely give the Gunners a free run to the title.

Arsenal and Man City Set for Stern Tests

Premier League teams will return to action after the international break next week for a month before November's international break arrives.

Arsenal will hope to put their defeat at the Amex Stadium behind them, as they will host Leeds United next before visiting Nottingham Forest eight days later.

They will follow the games with two games against the Merseyside clubs in the space of a week, with Everton to visit the Emirates Stadium before they take on Liverpool at Anfield.

They will host Hull City in the final one of their next five Premier League games on November 7.

Manchester City, on the other hand, return to action next week with a trip to unbeaten Liverpool before facing Ipswich Town at the Etihad Stadium.

Games against Aston Villa, Brighton, and Nottingham Forest will follow before the international break.

City and the Gunners will not face each other in the league until November 29, when they are scheduled to meet at the Emirates Stadium.
