Liam Rosenior's outing against his former club Strasbourg ended in a tense atmosphere after the away fans' hostile reception in the Ligue 1 encounter.
Rosenior who returned to France this summer, led Paris FC to a 2-1 victory against Strasbourg, thanks to goals from Pablo Pagis and Illan Kebbal.
It was the Englishman's first game against the Blue and Whites since he left the club for Premier League outfit Chelsea in January 2026.
During Saturday's game, the former Chelsea manager was booed and he received numerous insults from the away fans at the Stade Jean-Bouin; however, he reacted at the end by celebrating in front of them.
Rosenior's gesture did not go down well with Strasbourg players and fans who reacted aggressively towards the 42-year-old coach at the end.

During his post-match briefing, Rosenior blamed Strasbourg fans for his celebration in front of the away stand.
The Paris FC manager believes the away supporters 'went too far' with their reactions before and during the match.
Rosenior who spent a year and a half at Strasbourg between July 2024 and January 2026, lauded the club as 'a great institution'.
"Those at the club who know me know that I've always been respectful and tried to do what's best for the club. But this time, it went too far," Rosenior said, per RMC Sport.
"I understand the context. It’s a great club, wonderful, with a great institution. I’ve always protected it. But it went too far, I celebrated that way for all these reasons."
"There's a small section of Strasbourg supporters who have disrespected my family," he added. "But I want to be very clear: it's only a small section.
"Strasbourg is a fantastic football club, with wonderful people who work there and support it.
"My way of celebrating was a message to the group of people who never wanted me to succeed at this club."
Rosenior is enjoying a fine start to life in the French capital and Saturday's victory pushed the Parisians to second position in the French Ligue 1 table with 11 points from five games.
Paris FC are one of the four teams yet to lose a match in the French elite division this campaign while Strasbourg are in seventh position with two wins from five matches.
