Earlier this month, Tottenham Hotspur manager Roberto De Zerbi promised another 'bomba' signing before the end of the transfer window.
Spurs have agreed a deal to sign winger Savinho from Manchester City this summer, as per BBC Sport.
The north London side are not slowing down with their spending, with the agreement for the 22-year-old bringing a year-long pursuit closer to its conclusion.
The signing will push Tottenham's summer spending beyond £300 million as the club continues a major rebuild of its squad.
Tottenham Agree £75m Deal for Savinho
Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement to sign Savinho in a deal that will cost them £75 million plus £10 million in add-ons.
Of the £10m in add-ons, half are considered relatively achievable, while the remaining amount is linked to more difficult targets.
The Brazil international will now undergo a medical in north London before putting pen to paper on a long-term contract, ending his spell with City.
The Sky Blues will receive a club-record fee from the sale of Savinho, who joined them in the summer of 2024 from Troyes.
Savinho made 84 appearances for Manchester City across all competitions, scoring seven goals and providing 13 assists.
He was part of the team that won the Carabao Cup and FA Cup in the 2025-26 season.
Why Tottenham and Roberto De Zerbi Wanted Savinho
Tottenham first made an approach for Savinho in the summer of 2025, long before Roberto De Zerbi was named as the club's manager.
Their bid was turned down, with City preferring to keep the electric winger as part of their squad for the season.
His opportunities became more limited last season, particularly after City signed Antoine Semenyo in January, and he made just seven league starts across the campaign.
De Zerbi saw an opportunity to add a high-level winger capable of consistently beating defenders in one-on-one situations.
With Savinho having been extensively watched and profiled, he represented a unique opportunity for the club, one they duly took advantage of.
He will be the right-sided winger in De Zerbi's dynamic system, and will get more opportunities to show his quality in north London.
Tottenham's £300m Summer Spending Spree
The Lilywhites will have broken their single-season record for amount spent on new players by the time they pay for Savinho.
They have spent over £300 million on new players this summer, with owners ENIC Group showing a willingness to splash the cash after two seasons of flirting with relegation.
Spurs completed the high-profile signings of Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali from West Ham and Newcastle United, respectively, as well as Jan Paul van Hecke from Brighton & Hove Albion.
They also brought in Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi, and Martin Dubravka to strengthen various departments of their squad in this transfer window.
Their splurge has been backed by their significant player sales, with Cristian Romero, Djed Spence, and Luka Vuskovic fetching over £100 million in transfer fees.
They have reshaped their squad around De Zerbi's footballing ideas, and their significant summer investment will raise expectations ahead of the new season.
