Opportunities like these don't come often to many young footballers as Blackpool Football Club offer an experience of a lifetime every year.
The Hogan Cup is a prestigious tournament for grassroots football across the Fylde Coast, giving youngsters the chance to win the trophy at Blackpool's ground, Bloomfield Road.
This year's tournament would be a privilege for grassroots team as they competed to enter the Blackpool and District Youth Football League (BDYFL) Hogan Cup Finals in the stadium's 125th anniversary.
It's an experience that players can always remember, especially when stepping onto the same surface as multiple legends have done in the past.
Creating Memories That Last A Lifetime
Not many young players will ever get the chance to play at a professional football club's stadium, but Blackpool's league committee are always fond of hosting a great occasion.
The BDYFL Press Officer Paul Dosset has watched these finals for years and believes it's magnificent, not just for grassroots football but the local community as welll.
"Having been involved in grassroots football since 1981 – first as a player, then a coach, secretary and committee member – I have witnessed first-hand the special place these finals hold within the local football community,.
"Today, thanks to the continued growth of the league, the finals are spread across four days over two weekends."
Because the league continues to grow, it increases more opportunities for young footballers a chance to play in the greatest ground in Blackpool.
He added: "More children than ever before now have the chance to experience playing at the home of Blackpool Football Club.
Dosset continued to mention how it matters for young footballers to get the chance to play in a big occasion and play in a stadium which was used in the 2010-11 Premier League season.
"For every child who steps onto the Bloomfield Road pitch, it is far more than a football match, it is a memory that will stay with them forever," he said.
Living The Dream As Blackpool Supporters
Of course, local players will be fans of Blackpool Football Club, giving themselves more motivation and determination to reach the Hogan Cup Final.
