Bayern Munich and Germany midfielder Tom Bischof has revealed that he has plans for next summer, declaring his availability for the U21 Euros.

The youngster was with the senior national team for their UEFA Nations League games in this window, appearing in the final two games.

Still only 21, Bischof has been a regular for Antonio Di Salvo's U21 team, and featured prominently as their captain during their qualifying run for the Euros next summer.

He has been a revelation since joining Bayern Munich from Hoffenheim last summer, impressing for Vincent Kompany's side.

Bischof Clarifies Double National Team Target

Germany U21 captain Tom Bischof was clear about his plans during a chat with a reporter after he featured for his country in a goalless draw against Greece.

Having played for the U21s and senior national team in this window, Bischof pointed out that he has unfinished business with the U21 side.

Unlike teammate Nicolo Tresoldi, he stated that he would like to play in the U21 Euros next summer, even if Klopp considers him as a full-fledged senior player by then.

"I'm not done with the U21s. I definitely want to be there in the Euros next summer. Even if Jürgen Klopp promotes me [to the senior team], I'm up for both," he said.

Having been listed for the second set of games in Jurgen Klopp's 44-man squad, Bischof played in the 4-0 win over Latvia for the U21s on September 26.

Subsequently, he joined up with the senior side for their game against Serbia at the Allianz Arena, his home stadium, and the game against Greece in Thessaloniki.

He is a key player for the U21s and scored a hat-trick in their 6-0 win over Malta last November.

Tom Bischof: A Germany and Bayern Munich Rising Star

Bischof made his way through the youth ranks of Hoffenheim before earning his senior debut for the club in March 2022 at 16 years and 264 days old, becoming their youngest-ever player.

He went on to play 70 times for his boyhood club, scoring six goals and providing five assists, and agreed to join Bayern Munich at the end of his contract in the summer of 2025.

Keen for the youngster to join them for the FIFA Club World Cup, the Bavarian giants paid a small fee for Hoffenheim to release him a few weeks before his contract expired, allowing him to debut for his new club in the USA.

Bischof played 39 times across all competitions for the club in his debut season, scoring three goals and providing three assists as they won the Bundesliga and DFB Pokal.

This term, he has a goal and two assists in seven appearances across all competitions, with his form earning him his invitation to the senior team.

Bischof turned down an invitation to play for Germany at the U21 Euros last summer in favour of joining Bayern Munich at the Club World Cup.

He is keen to make up for lost time with the team by playing in the next edition of the tournament, but has kept the door open to the senior national team without any compromises.

He scored the opener for Klopp's side in their 2-0 win over Serbia and played 83 minutes of their draw against Greece.

The young midfielder will look to further stake his claim as a key player for club and country ahead of next month's internationals.
