Chelsea FC have today agreed a deal to sell defender Trevoh Chalobah to Como.
The deal is worth a guaranteed fee of £26 million, with an additional £5 million in add-ons. Chelsea will also retain a currently undisclosed sell on clause.
New manager Xabi Alonso recently went on record to say that he would like a maximum of four to five centre-backs in his squad next season.
With the sale of Chalobah, Chelsea will still have nine on the books, ahead of a busy month of August in trimming the squad.
The sale ends Chalobah’s time at the Blues which spans across more than a decade and a half, when he joined the academy in 2007.
