Bayern Munich are not giving up on their pursuit of Rio Ngumoha as they keep in contact with Liverpool's winger.
CF Bayern reports that the Bavarians were close to submitting an offer of around £58m for the 18-year-old in the summer but they were unsure of Liverpool's decision to sell.
Since making his professional debut in January 2025, Ngumoha has established his presence at Anfield after coming through the club's academy.
He has been a regular fixture in Andoni Iraola's squad in the UEFA Champions League this season, with two assists in four appearances in the competition.
Bayern Munich contact Ngumoha's family
Bayern Munich have reportedly held preliminary talks with Ngumoha's brother but they are yet to contact Liverpool about a potential offer.
The German heavyweights are said to have the England international on their shortlist of potential options for the left wing position.
The report stated that Bayern Munich considered Ngumoha as an option before they signed Ismael Saibari from Dutch Eredivisie club PSV in the summer.
Saibari, however, picked up an ankle injury that sent him to the theatre and he is now set for at least three months on the sidelines after a successful surgery.
Ngumoha was not the only Liverpool player on Bayern Munich's radar in the summer as the Allianz Arena outfit also made contact with Bradley Barcola before the Frenchman chose Liverpool from Paris Saint-Germain.
The Bavarians are not giving up on the 18-year-old as they are reportedly still in contact with his camp and a move in summer 2027 is not ruled out.
Ngumoha's rise at Liverpool
Ngumoha's creativity has set him apart since joining Liverpool from the Chelsea academy in 2024.
He has made 13 matches across all competitions this season, which include seven Premier League games for the Reds.
In September, he became the third-youngest player to play a competitive match for England at age 18 years and 31 days, after Wayne Rooney and Jude Bellingham.
His consistent performances in Andoni Iraola's team earned him another invitation to the Three Lions set-up for the UEFA Nations League games against Croatia and Spain in November.
